Samantha's Communion

I cannot believe that my goddaughter is already grown up enough to make her Holy Communion!
They grow up so fast...

My cousin had asked me to take some pictures of her in her gown on Easter...

It was so windy that day!! But I managed to get a couple good shots of her, enough to do a nice photo manipulation.  My aunt (Samantha's Grandmother), makes party favors where she puts images on candles.  So I designed these 2 pieces below so she had options to choose from!

She went with the Angel image, which I am really happy about cuz I LOVE how it came out
:-)

She ended up using these candles for the centerpieces at the hall after the ceremony.
They look really beautiful once they are lit , because it illuminates the whole image on the candle!

I would really love to do more things like this, for milestones/parties...

Fantastical Finds!

Hello Lovelies!!

So here is some stuff that I found while out exploring this past week! I am SUPER EXCITED to finally get on the ball with my art, and my mental/physical health. This morning I went for a wellness exam at my new Dr... I had some bloodwork done so my arm is a bit sore :-( So I figured I'd post some sweet stuff to sweeten up my day...

It's so funny that I found this Macaroon Recipe book, cuz I have been saying for quite some time now, that I want to try to make these so bad!! This book is ADORABLE and has so many awesomely unique recipes I CANNOT wait to try!! I heard Macaroon making is quite the challenge, so maybe my challenge can be perfecting them! This book was in the BARGAIN BOOKS section at Barnes & Noble!

Here are some fake plastic birds that I found on clearance at AC Moore. I plan to use them for the spring/summer birdhouses I am going to make to sell on my Etsy Store!! I am SOOOO excited about these...

Here is a wine stopper which my mom had bought for me at the
Christmas Tree Shoppe.
We went there to get more teacups for her candlemaking, and we saw this during our venture, so she scooped one up for me.. $3!!! LOVE IT! It is currently topping a bottle of Chocolate Red Wine,
by the Chocolate Cellar

Those were all the finds for this week, but I also wanted to share with you all some of the projects I will be working on this spring. I could not sleep last night, so I thought the best thing I could do to rid my mind of all the stuff I have to do , would be to write it all down, so I have some sort of plan to follow. I'm starting to give myself deadlines to meet, this way I can ensure that I will get things done!

On that note, I think I will go work on some Cookie Jar stuff, before I have to go to work today! It's a GORGEOUS DAY! Have a great spring day everyone!

Cookie Jars for Etsy Shop

Hello Lovelies!

I hope your winter season has treated you well. I know I have been missing in action once again, but this winter was definitely a hardship in it of itself . I was sick for a majority of a December & January and it was just not fun. Flu, upper respiratory infection, you name it, I had it. I had rid mysef of my illness finally around mid to late January , but then my grandmother, who had been sick for a few months at this point, had taken a turn for the worse.

My mom was back and forth from North Carolina a lot, and I think my body and mind took a turn for the worst. My anxieties and fears were heightened, I had tingling sensations in my limbs, I lost a lot of sleep, had at least a few panic attacks a day. It was a lot for me to handle. On top of that , my hours at work had been cut , I lost a few schools which effected my paycheck tremendously , had no health insurance... it was just a very depressing couple of months.

Come February, my mom had come back from taking care of my grandmother in NC, and the morning after my mother got back, my grandmother had passed on. As much as I hate to say it, when she passed, it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I was just happy that she was finally at peace, and is now in heaven with my nana and pop pop. I just want to thank all the friends and family who supported me through that tough time. It means so much to me...

Rest in Peace Grandma, Love you Forever my Butterfly Angel <3...

Most of February and March was kind of a rebuilding period for me. I picked up more hours at work, started at a few new schools which helped out tremendously! My mom is helping me pay for my own health insurance, I've been working on my Etsy store products!! Don't think I have forgotten! This is a mission I will conquer! I am determined to get my store up and running, even if it takes me a little longer than planned. Life is funny, it always throws you some curve balls, and sometimes things get put off... but you just gotta get back on the horse and keep riding! My friend Marie had started school, so she became too busy to help me out with my store, but my mother found out about Etsy, and she is super excited to be helping me out run my store, and she is even going to help me out by creating some up-cycled candles to sell in the shop!

Here are some of the products I've been working super hard on!!!

Renaissance Fair

Hello Lovelies,

It's been a really long time since I did a legitimate blog post, so I figure I owed you guys a little something. A lot of time has passed since I last posted, which also means that I have done a lot of fun magickal things since (Mostly Stelladeora stuff with my band), but also a lot of other things!

In September, a dear family friend supplied Avi & I with 2 comped tickets to the NY Renaissance Fair!!! It was such a magickal day, and we went equipped with Avi's heavyduty SLR camera. We got so many great pics, and he even edited them all. And then it happened...

Upon backing them up onto his hard drive, he mixed up files, thought he had backed up the HIGH RES photos, and had already deleted the originals off of his computer desktop, by the time he had realized the mistake. ALL THE PHOTOS ARE GONE!! :-( We are super bummed about all of this, but we managed to save some very low res previews of the day. I tried to spruce them up a bit with a sprinkle of fairy dust, but nothing can express how upset we are that such an amazing day will only be remembered through thoughts! Here they are...

TWO TICKETS TO REN FAIR!

Medieval clothing for sale at every vendor!

Little ones befriend the faeries as they enchant their guests...

"Come and play as the wild fairies play
In a magical circle, a fairy ring
You won't want to leave and forever you'll stay
Where the vision is bright as spring"
Gary Stadler & Wendy Rule

Mosaics in the marketplace...

Admiring the butterfly gardens...

I couldn't resist but to splurge on a maiden's head dress!!

There were also some really cute videos of some little girls dancing with the faeries, but we lost those as well :-( ... O well...I guess that gives us more of incentive to go again next year!

I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into our trip to the NY Renaissance Fair!

Return of the Just-i

Hey Lovelies,

I know it's been a really , really , really... REALLY ... really ... long ... time....
.. really...

I'm actually returning to this blog here, because I have actually once and for all started to get this Etsy store up and running. Now hold your horses! It's not up yet! There are still a few very important things to do before launching it.

My dear friend Marie, has decided to help me finally be able to move forward with things ( as she is much better at "reading the fine print" , than I am, and she has agreed to help me out with the business aspect of things). Hey, I was born a creative person, but not so business savvy... so I am so glad to have her onboard. Together I think we can get a nice little shop going :-)

She will also aid me, in the creation of things. We are currently in the process of coming up with our inventory list, and items that we would like to test run , as the first batch in our shop.

The whole thing is just very exciting, and hopefully once it is launched and up & running, we can have some kind of blog party to promote it, and maybe even do a first day sale of some sorts, just to guage some interest.

Also, I know alot of you fellow bloggers have much experience in doing these blog party giveaways, and all that fun etsy store stuff, so any advice or help would be much appreciated!!
We are totally excited! Expect a launch in the next month or so!

The ULTIMATE Super Duper Supreme Girly Sleepover EVER!

It's always fun to babysit little cousins cuz it makes you feel like a kid again!
It's fun to watch their imaginations run wild, and trying to keep up with them even though you are supposed to be an adult.  You can't help but let your imagination run with them.  Here is a little post about a fun night I had with my little cuzzies.

Once upon a time there were 3 girly girls, and they decided to have a sleepover party.
Christmas was in the air, and what better way to celebrate than to make some Gingerbread cookies!

They made all different kinds!

With
MAGICKAL SPRINKLES!

Testing the merchandise I see!!

Our Beautiful Work!

A Cookie for Every Occasion!

After their cookie decorating, Sammy decided to show us her latest invention

THE NAME BUG!
You write your name really big on a piece of folded construction paper, along the fold
Then you trace around all the letters as close as you can to the name,
Then you cut out the name from the folded paper

Once it is cut out , you open the fold, and you get the shape of a weird creature!

Here are our finished NAMEBUGS!

No sleepover is complete without a TuTu DANCEPARTY!
We rocked out to vinyl records, and swayed with percussion!
We even had a Christmas Carol Sing A Long!

The party didn't stop there!!

Time to play

FIVE LITTLE MONKEYS JUMPING ON THE BED!

These Monkeys were
Out of CONTROL!! :-D

All good things must come to an end :-(

Time for bed, my little monkeys...

What a FUN NIGHT it was!

Bela : L'Homme Chat

This video really interested me for some reason... Maybe it's the dedication of being a performer, or the way it's filmed. I saw it on the front page of Vimeo, and it just captivated me...

Long time no see!!

Hello Lovelies!

I know it's been awhile... but it's been gloomy for a few days here in NJ, and I'm not going to lie. It has put me in an especially witchy mood :-) I'm in the mood to light candles , light some incense, put on some faerie piano cascades, and do some mixed media , or something :-)

Today is Friday , I have the rest of the afternoon off ... so I'll probably do just that !! Stay tuned ... who knows, what kind of masterpiece I'll come up with to post later on ....

For now , I leave you with this ... I recently decided to dye my hair Magenta :-)
Hope you like !
