The ULTIMATE Super Duper Supreme Girly Sleepover EVER!

It's always fun to babysit little cousins cuz it makes you feel like a kid again!
It's fun to watch their imaginations run wild, and trying to keep up with them even though you are supposed to be an adult.  You can't help but let your imagination run with them.  Here is a little post about a fun night I had with my little cuzzies.

Once upon a time there were 3 girly girls, and they decided to have a sleepover party.
Christmas was in the air, and what better way to celebrate than to make some Gingerbread cookies!

They made all different kinds!

Testing the merchandise I see!!

Our Beautiful Work!

A Cookie for Every Occasion!

After their cookie decorating, Sammy decided to show us her latest invention

You write your name really big on a piece of folded construction paper, along the fold
Then you trace around all the letters as close as you can to the name,
Then you cut out the name from the folded paper

Once it is cut out , you open the fold, and you get the shape of a weird creature!

Here are our finished NAMEBUGS!

No sleepover is complete without a TuTu DANCEPARTY!
We rocked out to vinyl records, and swayed with percussion!
We even had a Christmas Carol Sing A Long!

The party didn't stop there!!

Time to play

These Monkeys were
Out of CONTROL!! :-D

All good things must come to an end :-(

Time for bed, my little monkeys...

What a FUN NIGHT it was!

Bela : L'Homme Chat

This video really interested me for some reason... Maybe it's the dedication of being a performer, or the way it's filmed. I saw it on the front page of Vimeo, and it just captivated me...

Long time no see!!

Hello Lovelies!

I know it's been awhile... but it's been gloomy for a few days here in NJ, and I'm not going to lie. It has put me in an especially witchy mood :-) I'm in the mood to light candles , light some incense, put on some faerie piano cascades, and do some mixed media , or something :-)

Today is Friday , I have the rest of the afternoon off ... so I'll probably do just that !! Stay tuned ... who knows, what kind of masterpiece I'll come up with to post later on ....

For now , I leave you with this ... I recently decided to dye my hair Magenta :-)
Hope you like !

Happy Birthday Harry Houdini!

Hello Lovelies!

Has everyone checked out Google today!?! It is Harry Houdini's Birthday... He would have been 137 years old!!

Here are some fun facts I dug up on Wikipedia

Harry Houdini was a Hungarian-born American magician and escapologist, stunt performer, actor and film producer noted for his sensational escape acts. He was also a skeptic who set out to expose frauds purporting to be supernatural phenomena.

Houdini has made escapes from chains, shackles, handcuffs, straight jackets, jail cells, has escaped while being suspended upside down, escaped from underwater restraints, and even buried alive stunts!

Houdini died of peritonitis from a ruptured appendix after taking multiple blows to the abdomen. His death was caused by a McGill University student, J. Gordon Whitehead, who wanted to test Houdini's claim that he was able to take any blow to the body above the waist without injury. He was hit three times before Houdini could tighten up his stomach muscles to avoid serious injury.

He died a very tragic death, but he will always remain one of the greatest magicians /escape artists to have ever lived!!

Happy Birthday Harry Houdini!

Here is a short video to celebrate Houdini's stunts as a talented escape artist:

We will never know !

OoooOooooOO MAGIC!!

In addition to his 137th birthday, there have been a current string of projects that have reached the press including some talk of a Houdini Broadway Musical featuring a score by Danny Elfman, and starring Hugh Jackman! This should be a treat!!... you can read about all of these Houdini Related projects HERE

LOVE in Las Vegas

Hello Lovelies,
I know I have been MIA for the past week... but that is because I was on vacation in the lovely

Avi & I went with another friend couple of ours. We stayed at the Mirage Hotel, which also hosts The Beatles LOVE Cirque du Soleil Show.

The show was AMAZING! The entrance to the show was also lots of fun. They have this technicolor runway, that my friend Mel & I had fun walking down, dressed up for the town.

Below is a small video I put together of the footage I have of us walking the Beatles Runway. I tried to be a bit creative with it. Please enjoy watching ! :-)

Valentine's Day Truffles & Bettina May's Pin Up Class! Register Today!

Hello Lovelies...

SO all of these unfinished projects have crept on on me, and so has Valentine's Day! I am so ashamed that I have not had the time to throw together any sort of V-Day Craft project, but life is so crazy lately... ( crazy in a good way! busy busy busy!)

BUT , alas.. i did want to do a post for Valentine's Day. So here it goes... I had originally got the idea from They sell these really amazing Birthday Cake Batter Chocolates, and I figured , how hard can these be to make myself ?!? ( They were TO DIE FOR , By the way) ... so I just HAD to share this recipe ( I actually found on another site!) The recipe I found on the site is a bit different, but actually more fitting for Valentine's Day , since they used Pink Strawberry Cake Mix. But this should work with any boxed cake mix. I CANNOT wait to finally try this recipe! Enjoy this one as well!

Recipe Courtesy of How Sweet Eats

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cake Balls

makes about 40 1-inch balls

1 box Duncan Hines strawberry cake mix, prepared and baked

1 1/2 cups cream cheese frosting (homemade or 1 can of prepared)

6 ounces high quality white, dark or milk chocolate (I often use Ghiradelli or Lindt)

additional pink food coloring if desire (I used a drop for a more pink look)

sprinkles, decorations, etc

Prepare cake batter and bake as directed. I often use a 9 x 13 cake pan as I find this is easiest.

Once cake has cooled, scoop it out of the cake pan and into the bowl of an electric mixer. Add frosting and mix on low to medium speed until a pink dough forms. This can also be done by hand, but may not be mixed as well and will take longer. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.

Roll in 1-inch balls and place on parchment paper laying on a sheet pan. Freeze the balls for at least 1 hour. Right before removing, melt chocolate in a double boiler or the microwave (if in the microwave, melt in 30 second increments until melted completely). Using a fork, dip balls in chocolate and gently flip it around, just until coated. Lift it out with the fork, allowing any excess chocolate to drip off. Decorate as desired, refrigerating immediately after for at least a few minutes.

We like these best chilled, but they can also be kept at room temperature.

and all the single ladies?

No worries... You can still treat yourself this Valentine's Month , to a Pinup Class with Bettina May! This just goes to show that any lady can make herself feel sexy, even when there's no man in the picture!

My Birthday: Boobies, Bowling, & Booze!

Hey Lovelies,
I know I have been absent in the wonderful world of blogging for a couple months now... but the only excuse that I have is that I have been so busy doing awesome things... For today's blog entry, I wanted to share with you , all of the fun that I had on my 27th Birthday!

First of all, if any of you readers live in New Jersey , and you have never been to Asbury Lanes, you should really make the trip , because it is a BLAST ! It is a bowling alley/music venue, and they also have other fun stuff like Burlesque shows every so often, and there just so happened to be one the weekend before my birthday.

I just HAD to get to this, I have been wanting to go to one there for the longest time, and no one can say no to you on your birthday ;-)

Asbury Lanes is probably one of my favorite places in Asbury Park. When you walk in, you just get transported back to the 1960s... I don't think this place has changed since it was first established! Enjoy some pics from my birthday, Photos courtesy of Avi, and I edited the colors and contrast a bit :-)

Enjoying some vintage bowling :-)

Avi setting up his strike !

Me in action! :-B

Me and my cousin Danielle

Thank you Joe, John, & German for the birthday drinks!!
3 Vodka Tonics for the Birthday Girl!

Alot of damage to be done, and the night is still young, hehe ;-)

The Crew

And Joe having WAY too much fun being a little princess with my tiara...

Please welcome our first lady of the evening,

Aurora Natrix

And for our next most talented daredevil,

Miss Heather Holliday

She breathes fire, and swallows swords the entire length of her torso!

Don't make any sudden movements !!

Everyone Give Miss Holliday a big round of applause!

Next up, she's tiny, but she sure packs a punch!

Dancing on Glass!

Now the moment we've all been waiting for!
Our show starlet,

And for their last trick

Even Go-Go Amy's Dog Scraps is a part of the show !

Of course, a show is not a show without some silly audience participation. And of course my friends would not let me get out of this one !!

The show host Donny Vomit , called me up on stage!

Little Miss Firefly was a doll enough to take a picture with Marie and I after the show!

All in all, this show was such a blast! I'm so glad to all who made my 27th a fun one to remember!

For those of you interested in catching a Pretty Things Peepshow near you, check out Go-Go Amy's site as well as Pretty Things Productions!

Have fun!
