Beach Bums

So I am just sitting here, trying to be creative, but I wanna do so many different things at once, and I don't know which to do first... apparently my mind doesn't grasp the concept of only doing one thing at a time... So here I am , making a post... which is better than doing absolutely NOTHING... I am overwhelmed... with life....

So i just felt the need to post some pictures from when I lived in LA and Avi came to visit me... We just sat on the beach and took goofy pictures. It's hard to believe that was over a year ago already ! All of the quotes on the pictures are from books by my favorite author Francesca Lia Block.

I love these simple moments

Sitting on Venice Beach
Passing the time...

Not knowing or even caring about the future

Just here in the now

with the sun and the sand...

and the ocean, and the one I love...

and that's the best way to live...

What are some of your favorite simple moments?

How beautiful, Justina! By the way, thank you for the blog suggestions (I would have emailed you personally to thank you but I couldn't find your address anywhere - didn't want you to think I was ignoring you). And I just purchased the House of Dolls by Francesca Lia Block. I love her writing...thank you for recommending it! I hadn't realized she had a new book out. Theresa

Sweet post :)

I'm going to check out that book too! I'm in need of some summer reading!

Now you've got me thinking about my favorite simple moments... hmmmmm... maybe I'll post about some. :)

THanks !! Yea some may consider her writing style kind of juvenile in some ways , but if you actually get into her books, you would see that, past all of the glitter and fairytales , are real stories... she keeps it real, and I love that about her. She writes about topics that could still be deemed as taboo in today's society. Try the Weetzie Bat series... if you read the Dangerous Angels book , its all of the Weetzie books in one compilation... then there's Necklace of Kisses which is kinda like a sequel, about Weetzie's life when she's a middle aged woman.... Love it! Let me know how you like her ...
